The Canton Fair creates access to thousands of suppliers, but collecting catalogs is not the same as building a qualified supplier shortlist.
Before the fair
Define the product specification, target price range, required certifications, MOQ, packaging and expected order date. Without this, booth conversations remain superficial.
During the fair
- Record the exact legal company name
- Ask whether the exhibitor is a factory or trader
- Confirm production location
- Photograph model numbers and samples
- Record MOQ, tooling, lead time and payment terms
After the fair
Shortlist suppliers by evidence, not booth appearance. Verify company registration, factory status, production capability and bank information before sending a deposit.
